Barcelona – Travel Style Guide

Plaza de España

When you’re planning a trip there are a ton of details to figure out, not the least of which is how to pack for both comfort and style. While I am certainly stoked that the athleisure trend seems to be here to stay,  I personally prefer something a bit less gym-tastic. Especially seeing as the Spaniards invented possibly my fav summer shoe – the espadrille – I relished the opportunity to put these from my recent visit to Casa Hernanz to good use. I wore them all over Spain and they were so comfy!

The other key for travel dress is to layer. Scarves and light jackets definitely come in handy, especially in the transition months when temps can be unpredictable. Spain in May is cool in the morning and evening and warm during the day. I layered this basic black leather jacket over a linen button up and it was perfect!
