Fall Fashion Petite Style

Stripes and City Lights

The House Blend

I love a challenge – especially if it’s fashion related. One of the fun things about fashion is sifting through trends and finding ways to incorporate them into your personal style. People often think the way they see a trend on Kendall Jenner is the only way to wear it but that is not so. Being petite, there are rarely trends that I can incorporate without a significant amount of tailoring. This at first seemed daunting but now I consider it an advantage. Take one of my current favorite trends – pattern mixing. Being petite I have to be careful to pick patterns that won’t overwhelm me. These culottes are pretty bold and are intended to be more cropped. But the length works for me – it still shows off my shoes and doesn’t cut the sightline the way it would if they hit mid-calf. I love it with this basic navy striped tee and the leather jacket lends a little edge.
