I’ve never been big into jewelry. I used to only wear my wedding ring and some diamond stud earrings and call it good. Shoes were more my thing and often had enough sparkle for the rest of my outfit. But I started to notice how a bangle of bracelets and baubles really added interest some of my style icons’ outfits like Rachel Zoe and Iris Apfel and Audrey Hepburn. My grandma has always loved jewelry. I have her to thank for the most significant piece of jewelry I own – my engagement ring. She always wears a few bracelets, earrings, rings, and a necklace. They’re usually gold or silver and very simple and understated. But she always has them on.
Over the past few years I’ve started adding to my collection with help of Bauble Bar and Box of Style. It’s still a modest collection but I have definitely made progress. One thing I have learned is that the right accessory can make an outfit, even take it over the top in the best possible way.
