Lilac Love

Follow my blog with Bloglovin It’s beginning to feel like spring! I cannot tell you how excited I am about that. Growing up in LA, spring was just a cooler summer so living in Michigan has taught me its true significance. After all the cold snow and cloudy days I am ready for a fresh …

Denim Roundup

Donning denim is always presents a fun challenge of how to make this timeless staple feel fresh. I’d have to say that I wear denim most days and sometimes it can be easy to get stuck in a rut. Below I’ve rounded up some ways to refresh your denim options – yes, even skinny jeans 😉

Like all good 90’s trends, the split hem skinny is back this season :). I love this twist on skinny jeans.

I love that ripped denim is here to stay for at least one more season. This pair is even petite!

These are my go-to skinny jeans. The lighter shade in the photo up top gives a fresh take with the cape and keeps it from feeling formal.

Coated denim is a great way to get a leather look with the comfort of jeans. I love these because they are comfy and slimming and ultra chic.

Wide-leg denim is making a comeback as a trend even though it is also a classic. Here I’m giving it a polished take with the tuxedo blazer but I also love wearing it with big colorful earrings, a boho-inspired blouse, and chunky platforms for a more relaxed and summery vibe.

Blue Suede Shoes

There’s something about blue suede shoes that inspire songs. I am loving this particular pair from Marc Fisher. They have a flared block heel which is super on trend and they’re in my favorite navy blue. Being petite, I love the low ankle because it gives a leg lengthening affect. I’m also enjoying showing how …

Punk Rock Presence

As a child of the 90’s the recent resurgence of 90’s fashion has me like – really? I now understand on another level what my mom was feeling when I used to go through her trunk of clothes from the 70’s looking for buried treasure. Since we are destined to repeat themes of former fashion …

Olympic Heights

On our last day in Barcelona we walked over to Olympic Stadium which is at the top of this hill that overlooks the city. To get to these stairs we already had climbed several stairs and gone up an escalator. We still weren’t at the top. All that walking and climbing was rewarded with …

Seaside Sights

On our last day in Barcelona we went to Mercat de Santa Caterina in the morning and grabbed some jamón ibérico and cheese and fresh fruit juice (more about the market in my travel guide coming soon). Then we headed over here to the harbor on the Mediterranean Sea for a picnic. It was probably …

Barcelona – Travel Style Guide

When you’re planning a trip there are a ton of details to figure out, not the least of which is how to pack for both comfort and style. While I am certainly stoked that the athleisure trend seems to be here to stay,  I personally prefer something a bit less gym-tastic. Especially seeing as the …

Blushed

Blush is one of my favorite spring neutrals. Though lately I’ve been going out of my comfort zone and playing with color more, my default is always neutrals. But even I can’t totally embrace black in the summer so with the warmer months coming blush is a nice neutral to stock up on. The right …
